Aarash Darroodi serves as Executive Vice President, General Counsel at Fender, one of the world’s leading musical instrument manufacturers, marketers and distributors, transforming music history since 1946. In his current role, Aarash is responsible for all global legal needs across Fender whose portfolio of owned and licensed brands includes Fender®, Squier®, Gretsch®, Jackson®, EVH®, Charvel®, Bigsby® and PreSonus®– including mergers and acquisitions, compliance, litigation, intellectual property, corporate governance, advocacy and risk management. Darroodi continues to serve as an officer on the Board of Directors for Fender. In 2022, Aarash was appointed as President of the Fender Play Foundation™, the brand's 501(c)(3) public charitable organization on a mission to equip, educate and inspire the next generation of players through music education.
Aarash is also a big proponent of modernization of the legal profession through implementation of modern technology, promoting business acumen/intelligence, and diversity, equity and inclusion in the workplace. He is frequently invited to speak on topics including modernization of the profession, DE&I initiatives and the future of the legal profession. Further, Aarash teaches a course entitled, “How to Build a Rain Machine”, through his education company Rainstar Academy. The course is specifically tailored for lawyers in female and diverse lawyers at law firms learn business intelligence, business development, and tactical marketing strategies.

Peter is SVP, Legal, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary of The Descartes Systems Group Inc. Prior to Descartes, he served as general counsel of multiple companies, primarily in the technology industry. Peter is also the founder of the GC Forum, a networking group whose purpose is to facilitate informal informative dialogue between law department leaders, primarily of small and midsize organizations, in Canada. He is a graduate of the Faculty of Law, University of Toronto and McGill University.
Peter has been recognized by his peers in Canada and abroad for leadership and innovation in the legal profession including being the recipient of Precedent Magazine’s Innovation Award (2020), Legal 500 GC Powerlist: Canada (2020, 2016), Canadian Lawyer Magazine Top 25 Most Influential (2019), ACC/ILO Global Counsel Awards - Compliance Innovator of the Year (2019), LEXPERT Magazine Zenith Award - Change Agent in Law (2019), Legal 500 GC Powerlist: Canada Teams (2019), Financial Times - Innovative Lawyers North America Awards "Highly Commended" (2018) and ACC/ILO Global Counsel Awards - General Commercial (2016). In her capacity as Bates White’s General Counsel, Ms. Trulove advises the firm on legal issues affecting the firm. Prior to joining Bates White, Ms. Trulove was a partner with Dickstein Shapiro in the firm’s antitrust practice, litigating complex matters in an array of industries.
In her role as Chief Client Relations Officer at Bates White, Ms. Trulove interfaces with Bates White clients and provides business advice on working with clients. As a former client, Ms. Trulove understands that perspective and can help Bates White employees leverage that knowledge to better serve their clients. Ms. Trulove is a member of the bars of the District of Columbia, State of Maryland, and Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

Jen is the Director of Client Services and leads the Americas arm of Thomson Reuters’ Market Insights service team. For the past 18 years, Jen has used a data-driven approach to identify exactly how clients think about their law firm relationships and pinpoint the best opportunities to build more loyal—and profitable—clients. Jen draws on direct research with corporate legal buyers and her deep experience in the legal industry to help law firms grow by: developing high-impact client feedback programs, training professionals in client acquisition and growth, and delivering strategic consulting to organizations looking to improve performance and develop more business.
In addition, Jen is a frequent presenter and author on market trends, how to identify and create opportunities in the market, and implementing organizational best practices in client relationship development. Jen is a Co-Chair of the LMA 2023 Annual Conference Advisory Committee (ACAC).
